How to Create Videos with SnapQuote
Step-by-step guide to creating engaging video content with SnapQuote's video tools.
Video content dominates social media feeds. With SnapQuote's video tools, you can turn your quote cards into dynamic video content that stops the scroll.
Why Video Quote Cards?
Video quotes outperform static images across social media:
- LinkedIn — video gets 5x more engagement than static posts
- Instagram — Reels reach 2x more non-followers than feed posts
- TikTok — video-first platform, native format is essential
- Facebook — video posts have higher reach and share rates
- X — video tweets get 10x more engagement
- Pinterest — video pins drive more clicks and saves
Getting Started with AI
The fastest way to create a video is with SnapQuote's AI Creator. Just describe what you want, and the AI generates a complete video with scenes, motion, and transitions.
- Open the editor and click the AI tab
- Describe your video — e.g., "An inspirational quote about success with a calm background and slow motion"
- Choose a video type (Motion Reel, Narrated Slideshow, etc.)
- Click Generate — the AI creates a scene-by-storyboard for you
- Review and tweak each scene, or click Apply to use it as-is
You can also start from scratch with the Scenes tab if you prefer full manual control — add scenes, choose motion styles, and adjust timing yourself. The AI approach is great for getting started quickly; manual adjustments let you fine-tune every detail.
Adding Motion
SnapQuote offers several animation presets:
- Fade in — text appears smoothly, word by word or line by line
- Typewriter — letters appear one at a time for a dramatic effect
- Zoom — the card slowly zooms in or out
- Pan — horizontal or vertical movement across the design
Select the preset that matches the mood of your quote. Inspirational quotes work well with slow fades; punchy one-liners benefit from typewriter effects.
Adding Background Music
A soundtrack elevates your video from good to unskippable.
- Browse SnapQuote's royalty-free music library
- Filter by mood (uplifting, calm, energetic, professional)
- Adjust the volume so the music complements — not competes with — your message
The music automatically loops to fill your video length and fades out gracefully at the end.
Adding Narration
You can add voice narration to your video by activating it in the Content tab. Enable narration per scene, choose from a selection of AI voices, and write the script for each scene. SnapQuote's text-to-speech will generate the audio automatically, and each scene's duration adjusts to match the narration length.
For conversation-style videos, you can assign different voices to Speaker A and Speaker B — each with their own narration script.
Setting Duration
Different platforms have different sweet spots:
| Platform | Ideal Length | Format |
|---|---|---|
| Instagram Reels | 15-30 seconds | 9:16 |
| LinkedIn Video | 30-60 seconds | 1:1 or 16:9 |
| TikTok | 15-60 seconds | 9:16 |
SnapQuote auto-calculates the duration based on your text length and animation speed, but you can adjust it manually.
Exporting Your Video
When you're ready:
- Preview the video to check timing and transitions
- Click Export Video — SnapQuote renders your video with your watermark applied
Saving Your Project
Need to come back later? SnapQuote lets you save your project and load it anytime for further editing. This is useful when you want to refine scenes, adjust timing, or create variations of the same video without starting from scratch.
Best Practices
- Start strong — the first 2 seconds should hook the viewer
- Keep text on screen long enough — each line needs at least 2-3 seconds for readability
- Use captions — many viewers watch without sound
- End with a CTA — "Follow for more" or "Share with someone who needs this"
Pro Tip
Create a video series: take one long-form quote and split it into 3-4 short videos. Each video drives viewers to the next one, increasing watch time and profile visits.
