A beginner-friendly guide to creating your first stunning quote card with SnapQuote.

SnapQuote makes it effortless to turn any quote into a visually stunning card. Here's how to create your first one.

Choose Your Quote

Start by selecting a quote that resonates with your audience. You can find great quotes:

  • Browse SnapQuote's quote library — visit the quotes page to explore curated collections
  • Search the internet — find inspiration on your favorite sites or social media
  • Write your own — original quotes perform great and build your personal brand

Short quotes (under 50 characters) tend to work best for social media — they're scannable and visually balanced.

Paste your quote into SnapQuote's text editor. The platform automatically detects the author if you include an attribution line.

Pick a Template

In the Design tab, select your platform — Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest, X, or TikTok — and SnapQuote automatically applies the right format and aspect ratio.

Each template has predefined font pairings, color schemes, and layouts — so you don't need to start from scratch.

Customize the Design

This is where SnapQuote shines. You can:

  • Adjust colors — match your brand palette with the color picker
  • Change fonts — pick from a curated selection of web-safe font pairings
  • Modify layout — choose between centered, left-aligned, or stacked text arrangements
  • Add background — use solid colors, gradients, or upload your own image

Download Your Card

Once you're happy with the design, click Download. SnapQuote generates your quote card as a PNG file ready to share on your favorite social platforms.

Pro Tip

Start with one template and create a series of cards using different quotes. Consistent visual branding across multiple posts builds recognition and engagement.
